These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") govern your use of, and Renaissance Capital Advisors' delivery of, text (SMS) messages. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to these SMS Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Program description
Renaissance Capital Advisors operates an SMS program through which we send (a) service / customer-care messages and (b) marketing & promotional messages to users who have opted in. The program is operated through GoHighLevel and is delivered by mobile carriers in the United States.
Opting in
You may opt in to our SMS program in any of the following ways:
- By checking the SMS-consent checkbox on a form on our Site (such as our contact form, consultation request, or newsletter signup), confirming your agreement to receive text messages from Renaissance Capital Advisors.
- By replying to a verification text we send to your number after you provide it through another channel.
- By verbally consenting during a phone call (which we will document in writing).
The opt-in language presented on each form will read substantially as follows:
"By checking this box and providing my phone number, I consent to receive marketing and service text messages from Renaissance Capital Advisors at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms."
Consent to receive SMS messages is not required to purchase any product or service. You can use Renaissance Capital Advisors' services without opting in to text messages.
Categories of messages
- Service / customer-care messages. These include appointment reminders, scheduling confirmations and changes, document or information requests, engagement updates, and other transactional communications related to a consulting engagement you have requested or initiated.
- Marketing & promotional messages. These include educational content, newsletters, invitations to webinars, announcements of new resources, and occasional offers related to our consulting services.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your engagement and preferences. You can generally expect up to approximately 4 messages per month for marketing, plus service messages as needed (for example, appointment reminders).
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Renaissance Capital Advisors does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier may. Check with your wireless provider for details on your plan.
Opting out (STOP)
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from us at any time, free of charge, by:
- Replying STOP, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or OPT OUT to any SMS message from us;
- Emailing contact@rencapadvisors.com with the subject line "STOP SMS"; or
- Calling (877) 204-2477.
After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out, and we will stop sending you SMS messages. To re-subscribe, opt in again using one of the methods described above.

Mobile information sharing
We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and phone numbers collected for the purpose of SMS communication are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Information we share with vendors who help operate our SMS program (such as our messaging platform GoHighLevel) is solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf and is governed by data processing agreements that prohibit those vendors from using your information for their own purposes.
Carrier disclaimer
Carriers (including but not limited to T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility
Our SMS program is intended for users in the United States who are 18 years of age or older. By opting in, you represent that you are 18 or older and that you are the subscriber of, or authorized user of, the mobile phone number you provide.
Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when opting in, and to update us if your phone number changes. If you transfer your number to another person or no longer use the number you provided, please opt out using the methods described above.
Changes to these SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued participation in our SMS program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated to opted-in users in advance where required by law.
Privacy
Our use of any information you provide is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these SMS Terms.
